Mangaluru: The Department of MBA, School of Business and Management at St Aloysius Deemed to be University, AIMIT Centre, successfully organised its national-level management fest INSIGNIA 2026 on March 16 at the Arthur Shenoi Auditorium, Beeri.
The theme for this year, “Equilibria: Balancing People, Profit and Planet,” reflected a forward-looking perspective on management. It underscored that the future belongs not merely to profit-driven leaders, but to those who harmonise ambition with responsibility, innovation with compassion, and growth with sustainability.
The fest drew enthusiastic participation from undergraduate institutions across the country, with teams representing regions from Jaipur, Goa, and Kerala. A total of 23 teams comprising 202 students competed in various events.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Jeevan Deric D’Souza, HR Business Partner at EG India, along with the Director of AIMIT Centre, Fr Kiran Coth.
In his address, Mr. D’Souza highlighted the transformative role of emerging technologies such as generative AI and agentic AI in human resource management. He stressed the importance of professional networking in shaping successful careers, encouraging students to actively engage with industry networks to build connections, enhance leadership skills, and stay aligned with evolving corporate practices.
Fr Kiran Coth, in his keynote remarks, urged students to participate with enthusiasm and adopt a growth mindset, emphasising that the experience itself is transformative regardless of outcomes. He explained that the term “Insignia” signifies a distinguished scholar and described each participant as a proud ambassador of their institution. He further noted that Jesuit ideals resonate strongly with the modern concept of the triple bottom line—People, Planet, and Profit—which forms the foundation of responsible management today.
The event was attended by Dean of the School of Business and Management, Dr Rajani Suresh, faculty convenors Dr Annette Maben and Pramodh Dsouza, along with staff, students, participants, and members of the organising committee.
INSIGNIA 2026 provided a dynamic platform for management students to showcase their analytical, strategic, and leadership capabilities through a range of competitive events, fostering innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to responsible business practices among future leaders.
