Nitte: KBL Kaun Banega Udyamapati contest Prize Distribution Ceremony was organized on Dec. 28 at Hotel Ocean Pearl Mangalore .AIC Nitte Incubation Centre, in association with Karnataka Bank, had organized Kaun Banega Udyamapathi Contest to promote entrepreneurship among young men and women in Coastal Karnataka involving Mangalore, Karwar and Udupi districts.Twenty bright ideas shortlisted from 300 registrations and were presented to expert jury who selected 4 winners in each sector( Agri-Tech, Medi-Tech, SaaS, Special Category). Following four award-winning startups were awarded with cash price ofRs.1,00,000.00 as prize money.
(1) Winner in Special Category is CemEchola –Futuristic Nano Cement which effective ,economic and stronger.(2) Winner in Medi Tech Sector is Haemodialyzer making dialysis a homely and an affordable option(3)Winner in Agri Tech Sector is AtmaNirbhar Gaushala which enables gaushalas to profitable ventures (4)Winner in SaaS Sector is Kaarbar a hyperlocal service provider in tier-2 cities in India.
A Special award for innovative product was awarded to Dr. Arun Maiya for his innovative product of Lazer Shoe.
The guests for valedictory ceremony were Sri. Mahabaleshwar M.S, MD and CEO Karnataka Bank, Dr. M Shantaram Shetty, Pro Chancellor Nitte Deemed to be University, Sri. Shashidhar Pai Maroor, President KCCI, Sri. UllasKamat, Joint MD Jyoti Labs Ltd, Sri. Mahadeva Gowda R MD- Deemandla Properties Pvt Ltd, Dr. Ashok Alur, Director, COE for FPO’s Govt. Of Karnataka .
Dr. A.P Achar Chief Executive Officer of AIC- Nitte welcomed and presented a brief report of the event.
Shri Mahabaleswara M S, MD & CEO Karnataka Bank,in his address highlighted the need for promotion of Startup in Karavali region and assured all the possible support for the promotion of startup in karavali region.
Sri. Ullas Kamath, in his address expressed his willingness to mentor award winning startups to realize their dream to be world class entrepreneur.
Sri. Mahadeve Gowda MD of Deemandla explained the opportunity for startups in agri sector for young entrepreneurs. He also expressed his commitment for extending his seed funding support for 10 startrups.
Another Chief Guest of the event Dr.Ashok Alur, Director, Center of Excellence for FPOs, Govt. Of Karnataka and also the member of organizing committee expressed his willingness to support for KBU Contest in state level.
Sri. Vinaya Bhat , GM Karnataka Bank , Mr. Leelaksha Karkare, Head of Namma Kudla and Mr. Tilak, Director of Vignahartha Hindustan Agro Technologies participated in the program.Mr. Puneeth Rai hosted the event and Ms. Deeksha Rai concluded the program with the vote of thanks.
