Mangalore: Mangala Alumni Association (MAA) has instituted a gold medal in the name of its former honorary President, late Ananthakrishna. He had completed M.Sc Mathematics at Mangalagangothri Campus with top score.
Ananthakrishna, who later went on to become the Chairman and CEO of Karnataka Bank Ltd for almost a decade, introduced many innovative measures to take the bank to great heights of excellence. He also did much to strengthen the avenues of cooperation between the bank and Mangalore University. MAA is proud to institute the gold medal in his name to commemorate his eventful contributions to the society through the banking sector as a student of Mathematics.
