Manipal: The master’s division of MIC is conducting the 19th edition of Namma Angadi on the 8th, 9th, and 10th of April at MIC campus, Manipal after staying quiet and online for two years.
Namma Angadi is an annual exhibition-cum-sale hosted by the final year Post graduation students of Manipal Institute of Communication in collaboration with Namma Bhoomi and center for working children. Namma Angadi, in its true essence is a platform through which rural artisans are given the opportunity to sell their products and showcase their skill set.
The event promotes local craftsmen, thereby giving them a chance to survive against the stiff competition imposed by commercial brands and highlighting the fading impact of local and heritage crafts.
Taking place on 8th, 9th and 10th of April, this year’s Namma Angadi is based on the theme of being locally loud, earthly bound and brings to you a diverse range of products from home décor to summery dresses to their newest launch, kids clothing. Launching for the first time ever, their kid’s collection is made of materials like Jaipuri cotton and Kalamari.
Coming back with a bang, this year we have on board companies like IDP, Campco, Selco, Canara Bank, Abhyudaya Co-operative Bank as our event sponsors. The Covid-19 vaccination certificate is required for entry into the event as a precautionary measure.
