Mangalore: University College Mangaluru Principal Dr. Anasuya Rai inaugurated the safe drinking water tank donated by the Inner Wheel Club Mangalore North, at the Science Block of the college on Tuesday.
Inner Wheel Club Mangalore North President, Head of the Microbiology Department of the college Dr. Bharathi Prakash donated the water purifier worth Rs. 45,000, in the name of her father, late Y R Anjani Kumar. Meanwhile, the club has donated 10 large outdoor dustbins worth Rs. 9000. Speaking on the occasion, The Principal Dr Anasuya Rai. Principal thanked all the Innerwheel club members for this needful thought and useful programme.
University College Mangaluru, as an extension activity of the college, donated 30 e-slates to the 30 first standard students of the Government Lower Primary School of Moodshedde Gram Panchayat limits. E-slates worth Rs. 6000 were handed over to the Headmaster Govind Pai by Principal Dr Anasuya Rai and, Inner Wheel Club President Dr Bharathi Pakash and members.
Two hearing aid kits were donated to two children 4-year old Samarth and Ifsa, who are disabled by birth. These hearing aids were donated by Inner wheel club of Mangalore North and past president of the club Sushma Bansal.
