Mangalore: Srinivas University, Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism, Pandeshwar, Mangalore will be organizing its 32nd year Annual Food Festival HOG-2K23 on 28th October 2023 at 5.00 p.m. The Food Festival “HOG” is an annual event in the Institute calendar. The food festival started in the year 1992 to expose the students to the intricacies of event management. It is also an attempt to integrate the society with the activities of the Institute. The students are expected to generate a business model and execute the model. They generate the funds, manage the Food production, sales finance and marketing activities of the event.
This year, the food festival has special features like, Live Food Counters, Vegetable & Fruit Carving, Mocktail Counter & other special functions.
DR.CA. A. Raghavendra Rao Honourable Chancellor, Srinivas University, Mangaluru and President A. Shama Rao Foundation will preside over the function. Rev.Fr. Robert D’Souza, Principal, Lourdes Central School, Bejai Mangalore will be chief Guest and Inaugurator of this function. The Guests of Honour will be Dr. A. Srinivas Rao, Honourable Pro-Chancellor, Srinivas University, Mangaluru and Vice President, A. Shama Rao Foundation, Smt. A. Vijayalakshmi R Rao Trustee-Member, Board of Governors, Srinivas University, Mangaluru, Prof. Er. A. Mitra S. Rao Trustee-Member, Board of Governors, Srinivas University, Mangaluru, Dr. P. S. Aithal, Vice Chancellor, Srinivas University, Mangaluru, Dr. Anil Kumar, Registrar, Dr. Srinivasa Mayya D, Registrar Evaluation, Dr. Ajay Kumar, Registrar (Development), Mr. Aditya Kumar Maiyya (Academics & Development) Srinivas University. Prof. Swaminathan S Dean (Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism) and staff of all the Institutions will be present for the event.
