Mangalore: The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, a post-graduate course of the esteemed St. Aloysius University, in collaboration with the city's Swarnaprana Wellbeing Institute, organized a workshop on 'Sustainable Empowerment in Menstrual Management' for students at Canara High School, Dongarakeri today (February 25).
Shilpa Shastri, a resource person, participated in the program and informed the students about the concerns they should take in menstrual management. She spoke about eco-friendly hygiene methods, proper care and disposal of sanitary pads and the stigma that still exists in society regarding menstruation.
About 90 students from classes 6 to 9 participated in the program.
Ms. Tapasvi Vachhani and Ms. Neha, students of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of St. Aloysius University, organized this program under the guidance of the Head of the Department, Ms. Bhabhavya Shetty.
Reema compered the program, Neha welcomed, and Tapasvi Vachhani proposed the vote of thanks.
