Mangaluru: St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Malabar Christian College, Calicut, on 6th June 2025. The purpose of this collaboration is to foster joint research initiatives between the two institutions. This initiative was taken my Dr Mona Mendonca, Head, Department of History, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University).
The MoU was signed by the Vice Chancellor of St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Rev. Dr Praveen Martis, SJ and Dr. Sachin James, Principal of Malabar Christian College, Calicut. The head of the institutions expressed their enthusiasm for the partnership, emphasizing the potential for collaborative projects that would significantly contribute to the field of History and Science particularly focusing on the West Coast of India.
Dr. Ronald Nazreth, Registrar of St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) and Mr Kishore Chandra, Department of History and others were also present at the occasion. Dr Roshan DSouza, Chair, International Collaboration, facilitated the process of signing the MoU.
This collaboration is expected to open new avenues for research and academic exchange between the two institutions, benefiting students and faculty alike. By pooling their resources and expertise, St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University) and Malabar Christian College aim to make significant contributions to historical research and scholarship.
