Mangalore: Sahitya Akademi (National Academy of Letters) is an autonomous organization working under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, is organising a Birth Centenary Seminar on the Life and Works of V.J.P. Saldanha (Khaddap), eminent Konkani novelist and journalist, in collaboration with the Konkani Institute, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) and Vision Konkani, Mangalore from 13 to 14 August at the Robert Sequeira Hall, LCRI Block, St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangalore.
As part of the Seminar, Sahitya Akademi is also organising a three-day Book Exhibition cum Discount Sale from 12 to 14 August 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Sahodaya Hall, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangalore-575003. Books in Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Marathi, English and Hindi will be exhibited.
Litterateurs, literarians, academics, and students are requested to kindly attend the event and make use of this opportunity.
