Mangalore: A commemorative event as part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of NMPA will be held on 13th November 2025, at 2:30 PM at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Stadium, Panambur, Mangaluru. The Hon’ble Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Hon’ble Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Shri Pralhad Joshi, and the Hon’ble Minister for Fisheries, Ports and Inland Water Transport, Government of Karnataka, Shri Mankal Vaidya, have also consented to attend the celebrations.
The event is expected to witness the participation of around thousands of participants, including port employees, officers, stakeholders, port users, trade associations, unions, and retired personnel students and general public.
A major attraction at the venue will be an Exhibition Hall showcasing NMPA’s 50-year journey of growth, service, and transformation, highlighting its key milestones, developmental projects, and contributions to the maritime sector. In addition, an Exhibition Van portraying the Port’s glorious five-decade journey will travel across the hinterland regions in the coming months to promote awareness about NMPA and its golden legacy.
Hon’ble Union Minister for Ports, Shipping & Waterways, will be interacting with the press/media after the event on 13.11.2025. Smt. S. Shanthi, Deputy Chairperson, NMPA, expressed immense happiness on this historic milestone and extended a warm invitation to the media fraternity. Captain Manoj Joshi, Deputy Conservator, NMPA also requested the press & media fraternity to be part of this special occasion and witness the Port’s journey as it sails into a new era of growth and innovation.
