BENGALURU: SPARSH Hospital, Hennur Road, has completed its first year of operations, releasing clinical milestone data that underscores a rapidly surging demand for advanced, integrated healthcare in North-East Bengaluru.
In its first 12 months, the facility recorded more than 50,000 outpatient (OPD) visits, over 6,000 health check-ups, and in excess of 2,000 surgeries. This substantial patient volume indicates a definitive shift toward localized diagnosis and treatment within the rapidly growing sub-market.
The hospital’s first-year performance directly mirrors the evolving demographic landscape of North-East Bengaluru. Driven by expanding residential clusters, nearby IT corridors, improved connectivity to the Kempegowda International Airport, and a diverse population mix—including young families, corporate professionals, and senior citizens—local healthcare demands have quickly advanced beyond routine consultations. Area residents are increasingly requiring complex services closer to home, including preventive screenings, emergency interventions, chronic disease management, advanced surgical care, and oncology services.
Over the past year, SPARSH Hospital, Hennur Road, logged steady growth in surgical volumes across key specialties: Oncology, Orthopedics, Neurosciences, Urology, and General Surgery. Coordinated care pathways under a unified hospital system also supported more than 600 radiation therapy sessions, 800 chemotherapy sessions, 120 PET scans, 750 endoscopy procedures, and 250 day-care surgeries.

The institute provides precision-led, protocol-driven care across a wide array of sub-specialties, including breast, head and neck, gynecologic, lung, and urologic cancers, alongside orthopedic oncology and bone marrow transplantation.
In addition to serving municipal neighborhoods, the Hennur Road facility is emerging as a regional referral hub, drawing patients from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities within a 500-kilometer radius. As the hospital enters its second year of operations, administrators state that the initial metrics reinforce the critical role integrated hospitals play in improving local medical access, mitigating fragmented care, and facilitating early diagnosis and long-term disease management.
