Mangalore: The inaugural website of the Konkani Study Chair of Mangalore University (http://konkanichairanddepartment.in/) has been inaugurated at Ravindra Kalabhavana of University College Mangaluru on Wednesday.
Inaugurating the website, Mangalore Vice Chancellor Prof. P Subrahmanya Yadapadithaya said that digital technology is no longer alien to us. Digitization and connectivity are like two faces of the same coin. It is inevitable now.
The Chief Guest, World Konkani Language and Cultural Foundation President Nandagopal Shenoy said, "All Konkani organizations should work together for the development of the language. Websites should be made attractive, and youth should be attracted by projects such as scholarships. People's involvement is very important here, he said.
Principal Dr. Anasuya Rai presided over the program. Konkani Study Chair Coordinator Dr.Jayavantha Nayak mastered the ceremony, while University Evening College Department of PG Studies in Konkani Coordinator Dr. Devadasa Pai B rendered vote of thanks.
