Mangalore: Youth should know law. Law is essential from birth to death, Senior Civil Justice and a member of the District Legal Services Authority Prithviraj Warnekar opined.
He spoke as a special guest during a legal awareness program for youth organised as part of the National Youth Day and National Youth Week by the Mangalore University National Service Scheme, Dakshina Kannada District Legal Services Authority and University College Mangalore National Service Scheme at the Shivarama Karantha Sabhabhavana of University College Mangaluru on Monday. Mangalore University National Service Scheme Coordinator Dr. Nagarathna K A said that young people should develop a free-thinking attitude towards the law and that humanity should always be with us.
Principal (in-charge) Dr. Harish Kumar stressed on serving mind for the country.
National Service Sheme Officers of the college Dr. Suresh and Dr. Gayathri N, economics lecturer Dheeraj and NSS volunteers were present. Sociology lecturer Dr. Rajeshwari welcomed the guests. Shivaprasad mastered the ceremony and Anusha rendered vote of thanks.
