Mangalore University: Job fair on May 14 and 15


Mangalore: The University Employment Information and Guidance Bureau (UEIGB) and University Training and Placement Cell (UTPC) of Mangalore University will organise a state-level job fair on 14th and 15th of May, at the university campus, Mangalagangothri. 


Chiranjeevi Ambernath, Cluster Manager for Magic Bus in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal, will inaugurate the job fair at Mangala Auditorium on May 14 at 10.30 am. Mangalore University Vice Chancellor Prof. P Subrahmanya Yadapadithaya will preside over the program. Registrar Prof. Kishore Kumar CK, Registrar (Evaluation) Prof. P.L Dharma, District Skills Development Officer, UEIGB Deputy Chief SJ Hemachandra, Finance Officer, UEIGB and UTPC Head Prof. KS Jayappa, UTPC Project Based Consultant Sharada HS will be present.


About 40 companies, 11,000 posts!

About 40 companies will participate in the two-day job fair, with 11,100 vacancies to be recruited. The UEIGB and UTPC have received over 10,000 applications from various constituent, affiliated, autonomous colleges of Mangalore University and students of the Mangalore University campus, which are handed over to a NGO called Magic Bus. The agency is scrutinising the applications and provide a token to the eligible candidates and conduct a face-to-face interview during the fair. The minimum wage is for the selected candidates will be 10,000.


Walk-in-interview

Walk-in interviews are also allowed for job seekers. Candidates should bring a Biodata, Aadhaar Card, Passport size photo, SSLC marks card along with Maximum Qualification marks cards when they come for the interview. Those who are in final year under graduate or master's degree (2021-22) can also attend the interview.


The Humanities, Management, Science and Lecture Complex will be used for the job fair. There will be a helpline in each block. More than 80 volunteers have been recruited. Accommodation will be provided to the staff of employer companies. Arrangements are also made for smooth transportation.


Major companies

More than 40 companies including Apollo Pharmacy, Muthoot Finance, MediPlus, Just Dial, BYJU’s, Axis Bank, Kanchana Group of Companies, Honda Matrix, Diya Systems, HDFC Bank, Mandovi Motors and More Supermarket will participate.
