Mangaluru: University Evening College Celebrated 153rd Gandhi Jayanthi on Sunday at the College Campus, here in Hampanakatte, Mangalore.
Chief Speaker, PG in Konkani Co-ordinator Dr.Devadas Pai, gave a description of life history of Mahatma Gandhiji and his principles. He gave a wakeup call to follow the principles of Gandhiji to be Truthful, Pure, Human, Equality, Simple, Non-Violent and Disciplined.
MCom, MBA (IB) Co-ordinator Dr. Jagadeesh B said that life becomes chaos when there is no love. The whole humanity can be happy if our Speech, Thought and Deeds are as pure as of Gandhiji.
GST Co-ordinator Dr.Yathish Kumar gave an alert call to be blind to forgive mistakes of others is the great lesson taught by Gandhiji to the humanity.
Principal Dr. Subhashini Shrivatsa, in her presidential talk expressed that it is difficult to accept truth, but Gandhiji could achieve it. Gandhiji put all his effort in wiping the tears from every eye and that’s why he could become Mahatma for the whole glob.
Commerce Lecturer Venkatesh Nayak mastered the program and rendered the vote of thanks. Economics Lecturer Dr. Rathi invoked the prayer. Teaching and non-teaching staff were present.
