Don’t give up, first deserve and then desire: Prof. P. S Yadapadithaya


Mangalore: University Employment Information and Guidance Bureau (UEIGB) and University Training and Placement Cell (UTPC) of Mangalore University, organised “Campus Selection and 5 week Training Program on Medical Coding - 2022”, Friday onwards for the outgoing students. 


The program was inaugurated by Optum Vice President Orville Jameson D’souza, Optum Head Clement Joel Sequeira, and Optum Medical Coding Senior Manager and Segment Leader Bhaskar Mandlem. Orville Jameson D’souza delivered an inaugural address. 


In his presidential remarks, Mangalore University Vice Chancellor Prof. P. Subrahmanya Yadapadithaya persuaded students not to give up, first deserve and then desire, have patience, endurance of highest order and perseverance. He also said one should have willingness, knowledge, attitude and values, to be competent. 


The Finance Officer and Chief of UEIGB & UTPC Prof. K. S. Jayappa briefed about the program and also welcomed the gathering. Project based Consultant, UTPC Sharada Somayaji delivered Vote of Thanks. Deputy Chief, UEIGB, Mangalore University S.J Hemachandra KES,  and Deputy Director, IQAC, Mangalore University Dr Monika Sadananda were present.


Around 180 students participated and benefitted from the program.
