Mangalore: Nature Club of University College Mangalore organised Centre for Environment Education (CEE), Government of Karnataka and UNICEF supported “Student Orientation Program on Climate Change” at Ravindra Kalabhvana of the college on Saturday.
Presiding over the function, Principal Dr.Anasuya Rai wished the students to make good use of the program with regard to the Environment education and Climate change. Resource person, Master trainer of Environment Education and Climate Change trained by CEE, Karnataka Dr. Siddaraju MN conducted activities to educate students on climate change and its impact on earth.
Nature Club Coordinator Dr. Sanjay Annarav welcomed the gathering. Ms. Sinchana mastered the ceremony. Around 100 Nature club students participated in the program.
Students were divided into different groups, and each groups were trained on basics of climate change, impact of climate change, carbon footprint and handprint and solutions to climate change. This is a major event in terms of UNICEF and Paris agreement.
