₹10 Crore Defamation Lawsuit Filed
Bengaluru: In connection with the Soujanya case, YouTuber "MD Sameer Doota" allegedly targeted Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala through videos. The court had previously issued an injunction preventing further videos on the subject and ordered the removal of existing content. However, "MD Sameer Doota" reportedly violated this order by releasing a second video, leading to a defamation lawsuit against him and his YouTube channel.
The ₹10 crore defamation suit has been filed by Dharmasthala representatives D. Harshendra Kumar and Nischal D.
The court has now issued a notice to the YouTuber, instructing him to appear before it. Additionally, the Bengaluru City Civil Court has ordered the immediate deletion of the video that was uploaded in violation of its previous order. Bengaluru City Civil Judge S. Nataraj issued this significant ruling after hearing the argued by advocate Rajasekhar Hilyar on behalf of Dharmasthala.
