Bengaluru: A team consisting of four young researchers from the second year Mechanical Engineering at Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, namely, Tanush S.N, Kevin Joseph, Abhay P.S and Jeevan S, has bagged First prize for its eco-friendly approach.
They participated in the State-level competition of innovative experiments ‘Srishti Ideathon-2025’ held at Acharya Institute of Technology, Bengaluru. Hundreds of young researchers participated in the competition representing over 150 engineering colleges across Karnataka.
‘The NMIT team won First prize in Srishti Ideathon-2025 competition for the ‘Design and Development of a Low Cut-In Speed Eco-Friendly Dual Axis Wind Turbine (Dawt)’, said Dr. L. Harish Kumar, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering at NMIT and mentor of the winning team. He also added that, ‘this new innovation would find solutions for technical challenges of future’.
