Bank with a GB History of 113 years and a Business Turnover of Rs. 1300 Crore
Mangalore: MCC Bank Ltd, popularly known as MCC Bank, has completed 113 years of dedicated service this year and accomplished noteworthy progress across all business metrics for the financial year ending 31st March 2025.
The Bank reached a milestone of INR 1300 Crore in total business turnovers showing a growth of 20%. Boasting an enhanced net worth of INR 83.76 Crore compared to the previous INR 76.00 Crore, the Bank continues to benefit from NRI support.
Under the present Board, the bank's area of operations has expanded from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi to all state of Karnataka. It operates entirely on core banking technology and offers a full range of products and services comparable to those of private and public sector banks. The bank is also actively working on expanding its branch network across the state.
Ever since Sahakara Ratna Shri Anil Lobo and his team took charge of MCC Bank in 2018, the Bank has achieved demonstrated remarkable growth in its business performance.
Deposits increased from ₹304 Crores to ₹728 Crores, marking a growth of 139%, Loans and advances rose from ₹191 Crores to ₹572 Crores, reflecting a growth of 199%. Share capital increased from ₹13 Crores to ₹33 Crores, registering a growth of 154%. Reserves grew from ₹29 Crores to ₹79 Crores, showing a growth of 172%. Business turnover expanded from ₹496 Crores to ₹1,300 Crores, an increase of 162%. CRAR improved from 11.70% to 18.92%, showing a growth of 62%. Return on Assets increased from 0.56% to 1.40%, indicating a growth of 150%.
With the constant efforts of an efficient management team, dedicated staff, and a well-defined strategic plan, the Bank has successfully met all regulatory requirements set by the Reserve Bank of India. Notably, after a gap of 22 years, the Bank opened three new branches at Brahmavar, Belthangady, and Belman.MCC Bank is now set to inaugurate its 20th branch at Byndoor on August 3, 2025, announced Sahakara Ratna Shri Anil Lobo at a press meet held on July 30, 2025. He further stated that the 21st branch will be opened on October 5, 2025.
The programme will be presided over by Sahakara Ratna Shri Anil Lobo, Chairman of MCC Bank. Rev. Fr Vincent Coelho, Parish Priest of Holy Cross Church, Byndoor will bless the branch premises, Mr Gururaj Gantehole, MLA, Byndoor, will be the chief guest. Shri Babu Shetty, Managing Trustee, Shri Mookambia Temple, Kollur, Rev. Fr Philip Nelivilla, Principal St Thomas Residential School, Byndoor, Shri Raju Poojari, Ex-president, Udupi Zilla Panchayath, Shri Sadashiva D. Paduvari, Nominated Member, Town Panchayath, Byndoor, Shri Kapsi Noor Mohammed, Vice President, Shiroor Grama Panchayath, Shri Nagesh Kharvi, President, Nadadoni State Association, Shri Mobi P.C. President, Bar Association, Byndoor, will be the Guests of honour.
Apart from this the 9th ATM will be inaugurated at Belman on 09.08.2025, 10th ATM at Surathkal on 10.08.2025 and shifting of Kulshekar Branch to own premises & 11th ATM inauguration on 17.08.2025, 12th ATM at Kinnigoli on 14.09.2025, 13th ATM at Udupi on 27.09.2025 and 14th ATM at Santhekatte on 05.10.2025.
The bank has been providing various financial products, including locker facilities at low cost, affordable education loans for domestic and international studies, MSME loans, vehicle loans, housing loans, loans for house repairs, wedding, and purchase of household items. It offers gold loans without processing fees and provides ATM and mobile banking services free of charge. Deposits in the bank are insured by the Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation (DICGC), as per the guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
