Yalahnka, Bengaluru: 'Geographical situations and political happenings around the world would impact on deriving financial policies and force us to amend our approach towards progress. Therefore we, the students & experts of management have to keep a vigil eye on the geo- political developments. We have learnt the basics of leadership qualities during our learning period. But it is hard to become a strong leader to carry the legacy forward. It is pertinent for all of us to engage in learning & understanding the geopolitical changes', opined Madhumita Mankar, Executie Director, GDS Assurance, EY, Bengaluru, while delivering Convocation address at the prestigious B-School, Nitte School of Management, Bengaluru. 


Among the 89 students who received AICTE approved PGDM degree, Shambhavi Roy and Alister Loyson Martis of the Finance specialization secured Gold Medals for their outstanding academic performance.


Further she said, ‘The most profitable and useful factor today is the advancement in modern technology. Consequently it is our responsibility to adopt the technological tools for the wellbeing of the business enterprises/industries. We need to treat the technology as our friend and guide throughout. Only then your journey towards effective leadership will become meaningful and fruitful’.


In the beginning, Dr. Gururaj B, Director of Nitte School of Management welcomed the gathering. Rohit Punja, Administrator of Nitte Education Trust, administered the oath. The programme was presided over by Dr. Sandeep Shastri, Vice President, Nitte Deemed to be University, Bengaluru Campus. He said, ‘Everyone should have a specific goal. While reaching that goal, you should be grateful to those who have led you so far’.


Dr. K. G. Chikkegowda, Controller of Examinations, members of the faculty, students and parents were present on the occasion.
