Udupi: The ancient beauty of Udupi Krishna Math, built by Acharya Madhvakararchita, who has given the light of duality to the world for about eight centuries, has been given a modern light by the Mathadhis Sri Sugunendratheertha Sripada of the alternative Puttige, who has created an opportunity to view the ancient beauty of Udupi Krishna Math in a modern light. A wooden Yali (Suthupauli) in the original architectural style of the coast has been built at a cost of about one crore rupees.
The roof of the Sri Krishna Temple, including the Chandrashala attached to the Kanaka Gopura and extending to Madhva Sarovar, has been given an ancient architectural form. Through this, the divine beauty of Krishna Math has been enhanced.
*The new Yali will be inaugurated by Rajya Sabha member and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman at 10 am on August 9, the day of the full moon of the threshold, after the Maha Puja. Later, they will attend a meeting at the Royal Palace. *
Infosys Foundation promoter Mrs. Sudha Murthy and retired Chief Justice Shri Dinesh Kumar will be present as guests.
Alternative Puttige Mathadhish Shri Sugunendratirtha Sripad, Adamaru Mathadhish Shri Vishwapriyatirtha Sripad and Puttige Junior Sri Susrindratirtha Sripad will be present, said Nagaraj Acharya, Diwan of the Srimatt, and Secretary Prasannacharya.
