Mangalore: The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, successfully organised a Bottle Painting Competition on 20 January 2026 for students of BBA Aviation Management and BBA Aviation Logistics and Management. The event was conducted with the objective of fostering creativity, enhancing artistic expression, and promoting environmental awareness among students through the creative reuse of waste materials.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from 92 students, who showcased their talent by transforming discarded bottles into visually appealing and meaningful artworks. Participants explored a wide range of themes, including sustainability, nature, and abstract concepts, reflecting both artistic skill and social consciousness.
The programme was organised under the guidance of Dr. Pavithra Kumari, Dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, along with the Head of the Department, cultural coordinators, and the support of faculty members and student council representatives. Their collective efforts ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the event.
Following evaluation by the judges, Ms. Pragathi Prakash Acharya of I Year BBA Aviation Management secured the first position. The first runner-up positions were jointly awarded to Ms. Varsha Ramesh of I Year BBA Aviation Management and Ms. Fathimathul Nasla V of III Year BBA Aviation & Logistics Management. Ms. Inchara Ganesh of I Year BBA Aviation Management won the second runner-up position.
The competition concluded on a successful note, with appreciation and congratulations extended to all participants and winners for their creativity, commitment, and enthusiastic involvement.
