Chief guest Dr. Pradeep Ramavath J, Chairperson, Centre for Livelihoods and Social Entrepreneurship, School of Social Work, Tatami Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Guwahati, Assam, in his inaugural speech addressed the audience and said Entrepreneurship is not finance oriented, but is society oriented. He emphasized nativism which is a crucial part of innovation. If digital transformation cannot address the problems of a lay man or street vendors, then the relevance is lost.
He gave an example of Bengaluru being a technological hub and still struggling to overcome its traffic and congestion even though the Government has the public's data for creating integrative policies. Fin Tech talks of investing on visioneries who work for value creation along with benefiting the public at large.
He highlighted that mother nature, with its signals, is conveying that man doesn't own the earth but it is the earth which is a provider. Hence, we especially in the era of technology should rethink our presence here.
He also played an AI generated song as an example of how sustainability is not something unreachable or unachievable.
