Hard work of students and guidance of teachers key to success, says Headmistress Arunakumari
Mangaluru: Students who excelled in the SSLC examinations were felicitated at a programme held on Friday morning at the auditorium of Canara Primary English Medium School in Dongerkery, Mangaluru.
The event celebrated the outstanding academic achievements of students, with speakers highlighting that success was the result of students’ dedication, teachers’ committed guidance, and strong parental support.
Headmistress Arunakumari of Canara High School (Main) said that a Kannada medium student from the institution had secured the district first rank this year, bringing pride to the school. She noted that eight students had scored above 600 marks, and importantly, these achievements were made without external tuition, relying solely on classroom learning.
“Success is the outcome of discipline, consistent effort, and proper guidance from teachers. Students must carry forward the same mindset in their future academic pursuits,” she said.
School Correspondent Ashwini Kamath expressed pride in the students’ accomplishments, adding that the combined support of teachers and parents played a crucial role in achieving excellent results.
T. Gopalakrishna Shenoy, Correspondent of Canara PU College, announced that the district topper would be offered free PU education, while students scoring above 600 marks would receive fee concessions.
On the occasion, district topper B. Srinidhi Shenoy, who scored 623 out of 625 in the Kannada medium, along with eight students who secured more than 600 marks, and their parents were honoured. The students also shared their experiences and insights from the examination.
Basti Purushottama Shenoy, Correspondent of Canara Vikas PU College, and Yogesh Kamath, Correspondent of Canara High School, Urwa, were among those present. Teacher Vidya Shetty compered the programme, and Sarika delivered the vote of thanks.
