BENGALURU: Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT), a constituent college of Nitte (Deemed to be University), formally inaugurated its Orientation Day for the incoming 2026–2028 postgraduate cohort spanning MBA, MCA, and specialized M.Tech programs. The event brought together 160 newly enrolled students and their parents, alongside distinguished university leadership, department heads, and faculty members.
Inaugurating the ceremony, Dr. Rajdeep Manwani, renowned motivational speaker and Professor at Sindhi College of Commerce, Bengaluru, delivered a stirring key address urging students to overcome hesitation and embrace action. He noted that history consistently demonstrates how genuine progress occurs when individuals let go of the fear of loss and allow their desire for positive change to take over. Emphasizing that refusing opportunities guarantees inaction, Dr. Manwani urged the incoming cohort to step forward, cultivate empathy, and impact the world meaningfully through courage and dedication.
Presiding over the function, Rohit Punja, Trustee of Nitte Education Trust, advised students on navigating both academic life and career development. He encouraged the cohort to choose their peers wisely to build a lifelong support network and stressed the importance of consistent daily study over last-minute exam preparation. Furthermore, Mr. Punja highlighted that combining clear goal-setting with practical skills and internships builds such strong discipline that students will ultimately manage multiple career offers rather than worry about job prospects.
The ceremony welcomed students across disciplines including MBA, MCA, and M.Tech specializations in Structural Engineering, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, Electric Vehicle Technology, and Defence Technology. Key academic leaders present included Dr. Sandeep Shastri, Vice President of Nitte Bengaluru Campus; Dr. J. Sudheer Reddy, Vice Principal of NMIT; Dr. Shilpa Ajay, Head of MBA; Dr. Sashikanth Reddy Avula, Head of MCA; and M.Tech Department Heads Dr. Manjunatha L., Dr. Prashanth N., Dr. N. Samanvita, and Dr. Srikanth H.V.
Dr. Sreekanth Rallapalli, Professor in the Department of MCA, delivered the vote of thanks to close the formal inaugural proceedings. Following the official welcome, the institution commenced a comprehensive series of orientation sessions tailored for the fresh batch of postgraduate students.
