B.M.S. College for Women Hosts Graduation Ceremony
BENGALURU: B.M.S. College for Women, Basavanagudi, hosted its Graduation Ceremony for the 2023–26 batch on October 5, 2026, celebrating the academic milestones of over 800 graduates, including University rank holders.
Presided over by Dr. Aviram Sharma, Trustee of BMSET, the event featured Sri H.P. Sudham Das, Member of the Legislative Council, Government of Karnataka, as the Chief Guest. Prof. Ramesh B, Vice-Chancellor of Dr. Manmohan Singh Bengaluru City University, attended as the Guest of Honour. Wing Commander R.A. Raghavan, Director of BMSET, and Dr. Raghukumar N, Principal of the college, also graced the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Sri H.P. Sudham Das emphasized that graduation marks the beginning of a continuous journey of growth rather than the end of education. Urging students to navigate a rapidly evolving professional landscape shaped by Artificial Intelligence, globalization, and privatization, he stressed the importance of core values.
"Dream big and never allow your social or economic background to limit your aspirations," Sri Sudham Das told the graduates, sharing an inspiring anecdote about the founding journey of Zerodha from humble origins to highlight how perseverance and belief in oneself can overcome any circumstance. He further advised students to uphold integrity, avoid shortcuts, and remain genuine in their pursuits.
Prof. Ramesh B commended the institution for maintaining educational excellence and praised the presence of supportive parents. Highlighting the changing dynamics of the modern era, he encouraged graduates to nurture strong family bonds, champion social justice—drawing inspiration from pioneers like Savitribai Phule—and leverage digital literacy and technological sophistication for nation-building.
The ceremony concluded with dignitaries distributing graduation certificates to the students amidst an atmosphere of immense pride and celebration.
