Mangalore: To activate the gloomy minds in this tough time, students of Innovation Club of University College Mangaluru celebrated the ‘World Laughter Day’ online by sharing their experiences on some of the happy and the funniest incidents of their lives, here on Sunday.
Club Member Sushma Acharya said that more than 70 countries around the world celebrate ‘World Laughter Day’ on the first Sunday of May to raise awareness about laughter and its many healing benefits. Laughter is the best medicine and it improves the immunity of the body.
Innovation club Coordinator Dr. Siddaraju said that “the main purpose of conducting these special days is to keep the students in active and healthy way. It is very common for young minds to get depressed. ‘Worlds Laughter day’ is an opportunity to share happy and light moments amongst and stay happy.”
Club members Saloni, Chetan M and many other students shared their fun experiences at the college. Gowsiya shared healthy jokes and short videos among the group.
The program was started with a prayer by Melreen, followed by welcome note by Pallavi, and ended with vote of thanks by Sangeeta.
