Mangalore: More than 425 students were vaccinated in the first phase of the Covid-19 vaccination drive held under National Vaccination Drive, in association with the National Service Scheme (NSS) here at University College Mangaluru on Monday.
The District Reproductive and Child Health Officer Dr. B.V Rajesh explained to students, the purpose, benefits, and precautions of vaccination against Covid. He encouraged the students to get the vaccine without any hesitation and urged them not to believe rumours. Mangalore South MLA D. Vedavyasa Kamath also visited the site.
Principal Dr. Anasuya Rai, Mangalore University NSS Program Officer Dr. K. A Nagarathna, NSS officers Dr.Gayathri and Dr. Suresh, Mangalore University Red Cross Nodal Officer Dr. Ganapathi Gowda, Covid Nodal Officer of the college Dr. Bharathi Prakash and others were present.
