Bengaluru: BMS College for Women, Autonomous organized the College Day on 21st June 2024 at 11:30am in Indoor sports stadium, BMS College of Engineering, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru.
The event began with an invocation song lead by the team Sawarathma. Dr. D. E. Vasundhara Principal, BMS College for Women welcomed the dignitaries and the audience.
Dr. B.S. Ragini Narayan, Donor Trustee and Chairperson, BMS Educational Trust, Chairperson, BMS College for Women, Sri. Aviram Sharma, Trustee, BMS Educational Trust, Wing Commander, Sri. R.A. Raghavan, Sri. Indrajit Lankesh, noted Film Maker, Producer, Director and Publisher of Lankesha Patrike, Ms. Sadwini Koppa, Popular Singer and Film Music Director and Sri. Samarjit Lankesh, Actor in the upcoming film “Gowri” graced the occasion.
Vice Principal Prof. A. Gayathri, Dr. Suresh, Principal, BMS PU College for Women and many other dignitaries were present.
Around 40 students including the rank holders of different streams and subjects who have scored cent percent were awarded with certificates and cash prizes.
Indrajit Lankesh addressed the students. Ms. Sadwini Koppa emphasized the importance of International Yoga Day and World Music Day embarking on the importance of Indian classical music and also she engaged the students with her singing.
Smarajith Lankesh spoke a few words regarding his first project and danced with students and entertained.
The Vote of Thanks was proposed by the Vice Principal Prof. A. Gayathri.
The program ended with cultural events by students followed by DJ.
