Mangaluru: National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, Mangaluru is seeking competent and experienced professionals with specialized skills for several contractual and deputation posts.
NITK is an Institute of National Importance ranking among the top 20 engineering institutes in India (NIRF 2023). It is located in Mangalore, headquarters of Dakshina Kannada district, and well connected by road, rail, air and sea to other parts of the country and world. The city an important centre of education, business, trade and tourism.
Spread over nearly 300 acres with verdant greenery and its own beach, NITK campus provides an inspiring and peaceful ambience to its residents. The Institute currently houses over 6500 students and over 270 faculty members hailing from different parts of the country. More than 20% of students as well as faculty are female.
The Institute aspires to create a unique model of higher education that combines global excellence with local relevance, by connecting knowledge creation (research), dissemination (teaching) and application (innovation & entrepreneurship).
In line with its vision and mission, NITK is inviting applications from Indian nationals to join the administration in the following contractual and deputation posts [number of posts indicated in brackets] at NITK campus in Surathkal, Mangaluru.
Contractual Posts: Account Officer [1], Internal Audit Officer [1], Legal Officer [1], Placement Officer [1], Public Relations Officer [1], Graphics & Web Officer [1], and Medical Officers [2]. The Contract Period will be one year, extendable annually based on performance and Institute requirements, for a maximum period of 3 years. Initial consolidated monthly emolument for each post will be ₹70,000/-.
Deputation Posts: Deputy Registrar [1 post] and Assistant Registrar [2 posts]. The scale of Pay will be as per 7th CPC guidelines.
Important Dates: Eligible and interested candidates may apply through the NITK website and submit their online application latest by 16th September, 2024. The last date for submission of hard copy applications with supporting documents for the DR/AR positions is September 20, 2024. Short-listed candidates will be invited for written test and interview at NITK.
