Surathkal: In response to the directive from the Ministry of Education, the National Institute of Technology Karnataka , Surathkal, observed the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on June 26, 2025.
A pledge ceremony was conducted on NITK campus, where the institute’s functionaries, faculty members, staff, and students came together in solidarity to support the national mission for a Drug-Free India.
This year’s theme, “Break the Cycle. #StopOrganizedCrime,” emphasizes the urgent need to dismantle the criminal networks driving drug trafficking and to invest in long-term, community-based prevention strategies.
