Bengaluru, Whitefield: A 23-year-old youth, DebRanjan from Kolkata, was unable to lift his right arm following a severe road accident, has regained function and a new lease on life after undergoing a highly complex supermicrosurgery at Medicover Hospital, Whitefield.
Deb Ranjan had suffered extensive nerve damage at his right shoulder and neck following a major motorcycle accident in Kolkata. Despite receiving initial treatment at a local hospital, his condition did not improve. For over three months, he was unable to move his right arm and shoulder.
He then visited Medicover Hospital in Bengaluru, where Plastic Surgeon Dr. Suresh K examined him. Scans revealed a complete tear of the brachial plexus nerves. A supermicrosurgery was immediately performed by Dr. Suresh K, involving intricate nerve repair under high magnification — a procedure that demands exceptional skill and precision.
Additionally, Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Krishnakumar successfully performed a clavicle (collarbone) fracture repair surgery to support full recovery.
Following both procedures, Deb Ranjan has now recovered completely and is able to resume his normal day-to-day activities.
