Mangalore: The Training, Internships and Placement Cell of SCS First Grade College organized a workshop on Career Readiness and Employability Skills on Tuesday, 28th April 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the Basement Atrium.
The programme was graced by the presence of the Principal, Mr. Hardik P. Chauhan, whose encouragement and support added significance to the event.
The workshop was conducted by Mr. Sachin Kumar, Regional Manager, Alliance University, Bangalore, who served as the resource person for the session. Around 30 students actively participated in the programme.
The session was highly interactive and informative, focusing on preparing students for the corporate world. The resource person explained the importance of career readiness and the essential employability skills required to succeed in today’s competitive environment.
He conducted a demo Group Discussion (GD) session and guided students on how to perform confidently during GD rounds. He also provided valuable insights on online profile building, explaining how students can create a professional presence on digital platforms to improve career opportunities.
Further, he highlighted the expectations of corporate companies, including communication skills, confidence, adaptability, teamwork, and professional attitude. He also trained students on how to introduce themselves effectively during interviews and professional interactions.
The workshop was highly beneficial for the students as it enhanced their understanding of industry requirements and career preparation. The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, where students clarified their doubts.
Overall, the programme was enriching, insightful, and motivating for all the participants.
