Moodubidire: The Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad (IIIT-A), and the Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology (AIET), Moodubidire extended their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for five more years in order to work closely in research programmes and exchange scholars, students.
Dr. Nagabhusan, Director of IIIT-A and Vivek Alva, Managing Trustee of Alva’s Education Foundation signed the memorandum on August 4, 2021.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Nagabhusan opined that education should be synonym with the process of learning instead of just rote learning the facts. The application of the knowledge in day-to-day life makes life easier, he said.
Vivek Alva said that the mentorship provided by the IIIT-A would help the faculties and students in long run. He said internship, research, and workshops will be conducted by the team of professors and research scholars in core areas like data analytics, machine learning, deep learning, Python, Java etc. said Mr. Alva. Besides, students and faculties of AIET would also be supervised at IIIT-A to pursue PhD and Post Doctoral programmes in information and communication technologies and related areas. The agreement will also benefit the students in problem solving and learning coding skills which in turn help them to get into in premier multi-national companies, he said.
Alva’s is one among two private institutes in Karnataka to sign this memorandum, which benefited the faculties and students in the past to enhance the teaching-learning atmosphere.

The Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad (IIIT-A) was established in 1999, as a center of excellence in Information Technology (IT) and allied areas. The institute was conferred the "Deemed University" status in 2000 and declared as an “Institute of National Importance” in 2014.
About MoU
The Memorandum of Understanding helps in promoting education and scholarly exchange, collaboration and technical interchange between the parties involved as educational partners, exchange of materials in education and research, publications and academic information. Joint organization of workshops and conferences, Hackathon contest, seminars, short courses on developing coding skills, technical training, invited talks on latest research topics and faculty development programs.

Further to the signing of MoU, various activities have been conducted for the students and staff of AIET viz., Technical Seminars, Short courses on Developing Coding Skills, Technical Training, Invited talks on latest research topics, Internship opportunities for students and Faculty Development Programmes.
